Not everyone agrees on the story of the origins of the Farina 1709 Eau de Cologne… You only need to read the catalog of the International Museum of the Perfumery exhibition, « The Fabulous Story of the Eau de Cologne », in Grasse.

Today, Johann Maria Farina, the 8th generation of the Farina family, tels us all about his version of the story, which is 300 years old…

 

As a mater of fact, creativity, innovation, quality and business, are they indispensable ingredients, for a perfume brand to last through centuries and remain within the family ?One can raise the question. Nevertheless, it is for sure that Farina 1709 has survived. Actually, it is the first Eau de Cologne, created by the oldest dynasty of the world of Perfumery, the Farina still in Cologne.More, they are still in the same building, still in activity and still family-owned ! Furthermore, if you go to Cologne, don’t forget to visit the Farina Museum.

Today, Johann Maria Farina is the warrant of the tradition,so  to prolong  Farina 1709, the oldest Eau de Cologne.

 

By the way, just like his ancestors, Johann is a creative man,with a shrude sense of business, and going all round the world, in order to promote the values of this Eau de Cologne.
