The Oud has become almost a major ingredient… into the creation of perfumes. Today, nearly all the brands have their Oud fragrance. However, the are various qualities of oud. Finally, the look of the creator, his perception of the ingredient and it’s interpretation may find it captivating but different. Here, Alberto Morillas, perfumer from Firmenich and founder of the Mizensir brand gives us his different meanings of the Oud, with a collection of three fragrances.

The artist Lauren Sanguinetti has produced the chocolate maker’s universe so to create a spot between dream and modernity at the Atrium of the Printemps Paris store. You have, up to the 6th of May 2017, to go and taste a good hot chocolate with a pastry. Beware, The Atrium of Printemps store is located at the basement of the fashion store.

Totally subdued by tous les parfums du monde, the 4 documentary films by Arte, I wanted to come back onto each one, so to unveil the 4 perfumers that are Nathalie Gracia-Cetto from Givaudan , Christopher Sheldrake from Chanel, Marion Costero from Givaudan, and finally Thierry Wasseur from Guerlain. The four of them are passionate by the natural raw materials and their job. Today, Marion Costero talks about the tonka bean.

Sir James Aykroyd had a rendez-vous at Asuncion, in Paraguay where he found himself face to face with a bottle of Brontë liqueur.What it a sheer chance or pure coincidence ? One must know that his great grandfather, Sir James Roberts, a Yorkshire man, bought the Haworth parsonage, which has become today the Brontê sisters museum.

My collection of portraits continues… It is about Pierre Dinand this week : a man who has dedicated his life to the design of perfume flacons. His name is unknown to the general public, but we all know Opium from YSL, Femme from Rochas, Amarige from Givenchy, Eternity from Calvin Klein, Armani from Armani, Eau Dynamisante from Clarins… just to mention a few. Even after fifty years of his career, he still draws and dreams about new flacons with just as much passion. For him, to design a flacon can be compared to drawing a house… It is the house of the perfume ! So, let’s now meet this lively man.

Niche brands and private Collections : How is the perfumer’s perfumery today ? This is the next conference of the Osmotheque, at Versailles, on Saturday April 2016 9th, at 2 pm, conducted by Stephanie Bakouche.As an independant perfumer, based in Grasse, she is very knowledgeable about the subject, having worked for the Artisan Parfumeur. It sounds as a very interesting conference.

The Atelier français des matières is a company dedicated towards the best quality perfumed raw materials of the world along with the creation of fragrances. It is based near Annecy and took birth, with Remi Pulverail, who launches today his first collection of perfumes, «An anthology of great vintage» perfumes that are to travel into the heart of the material.
